Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that all orders are processed accurately and on time.
- Communicate effectively with sales, dispatch, and management to support smooth operations.
- Coordinate the movement of vehicles and inventory throughout the yard.
- Supervise, train, and support yard employees.
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance for quality and productivity.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
- Enforce all safety protocols, equipment procedures, and OSHA guidelines.
Cross-Train in multiple steps of production process prior to stepping into foreman role such as:
- Stock/Re-stock parts in appropriate locations as necessary (daily)
- Pull parts as needed
- QC parts as needed
- Operate machines for loading/unloading dismantling bays/tow trucks/scrap trucks
Other Responsibilities include:
- Misc. Yard Projects, prioritized by operation manager
- Learn computer platforms for production process
- Comply with Inventory/Yard operations manual
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized working environment
- Build and maintain trusting relationships with employees and other department heads contributing to a positive team environment
Required skills and qualifications:
- Previous experience in an auto parts, salvage, recycling, or warehouse environment.
- Strong leadership or supervisory experience.
- Excellent dependability
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Team player with professional communication skills
- Ability to work outdoors year-round and lift 50 lbs.
- Forklift or heavy-equipment operation experience (certification preferred).
Schedule: M-F, 8:00AM - 5:00PM (1 hour lunch)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
Work Location: In person
