PT O/N Advocate

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual for the position of PT O/N Advocate to cover shift from 11pm-7am 4 (Fri-Mon) nights a week. This role involves working closely with children and families to provide support, guidance, and intervention in various situations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in child welfare and behavioral health, as well as experience in crisis management and conflict resolution.

Duties

• Provide direct support to children and families in need of assistance.
• Conduct assessments to identify the needs of children and families.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to address immediate concerns.
• Collaborate with child protective services and other agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of children.
• Facilitate conflict management sessions to resolve disputes effectively.
• Maintain accurate documentation of interactions, assessments, and interventions.
• Stay informed about family law and child welfare regulations to ensure compliance.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills related to social work and behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children in a childcare or social work setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of child protective services, crisis intervention, and conflict management techniques is essential.
• Strong understanding of behavioral health issues affecting children and families.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and multidisciplinary teams.
• A commitment to promoting the welfare of children and families within the community.
