JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining, improving and reprogramming all Process Automation Systems.
Responsible for trouble shooting electrical systems and equipment. Responsible for control of combustion systems.
Responsibilities also include assisting in implementation of plant improvement projects and supervising electrical
personnel, as required.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain the Process Automation systems, including reprogramming and implementing improvements.
2. Work with Product Automation personnel to resolve model problems or program control issues.
3. Troubleshoot and problem solve electrical or combustion equipment issues that are affecting reliability
and/or quality.
4. Oversee the tuning of drives and line control systems.
5. Investigate root cause of automation related line stops and implement corrective actions.
6. Trouble shoot and modify PLC program logic.
7. Assist in implementation of plant improvement projects.
8. Analyze data and trending to identify sequencing or other problem areas.
9. Update drawings and documentation as required, in the plant drawing system.
10. Organize planned electrical maintenance activities.
11. Supervise hourly Electrical Maintenance personnel, as necessary
12. Ensure department compliance with all safety and environmental requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Ten (10) years of experience in a related maintenance capacity.
BS in Electrical Engineering or Technology preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS
Ability to understand electrical schematics and program logic, knowledge and understanding of combustion
systems, good communication skills, good organizational and planning skills, strong electrical aptitude, very strong
computer skills, logical thought process.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Must be very flexible in work hours. Normal work schedule can include weekends and off hours.
