Job Summary: Regional Managers oversee multiple Districts, ensuring that District Managers deliver on clinical and operational goals. They provide high-level oversight, address escalated issues, and ensure consistency in operational standards across their region. Regional Managers are expected to drive improvement and innovation in every aspect of clinical support operations, continuously enhancing performance and operational excellence.

An effective Regional Manager will work in close partnership with the providers they serve, develop emerging leaders within the organization, fostering talent that aligns with the organization’s values and vision. The role encompasses a dynamic set of responsibilities requiring proactive problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills to support both staff and patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise District Managers and ensure alignment with strategic goals.
  • Analyze and act on regional performance data to identify trends and improvement areas.
  • Conduct performance evaluations for District Managers and provide ongoing coaching.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local regulations.
  • Manage escalations that District Managers cannot resolve at the District level.
  • Mentor and support District Managers to develop leadership capabilities and operational expertise.
  • Direct the rollout of policies and protocols, ensuring understanding and compliance at all downstream levels.
  • Evaluate the performance of districts using key performance indicators and initiate strategies to address gaps.
  • Lead initiatives to improve cross-district collaboration and streamline processes.
  • Coordinate with other departments to address cooperative operational challenges and integrate services effectively.
  • Represent regions during leadership meetings and provide insights on field operations.
  • Proactively address risk management concerns, ensuring clinics operate safely and efficiently.
  • Oversee resource allocation, including staffing and budget adherence.
  • Takes ownership of provider onboarding process and training, coordinating with applicable teams/departments.
  • Owning facilities and equipment needs.

Metrics and KPIs:

  • Regional clinic performance (e.g., revenue, patient volume, provider satisfaction).
  • Compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  • Regulatory compliance audits and quality assurance (number of infractions and incidents, and resolution times).
  • Number and resolution time of escalated issues.
  • Regional patient satisfaction scores.

Communication Channels:

  • Weekly updates from District Managers.
  • Weekly coordination meeting with VP of Patient Care
  • Monthly Regional performance reviews with the VP of Patient Care.
  • Coordination with other departments for operational support.

Decision-Making Hierarchy:

  • Approves regional operational decisions within budget.
  • Escalates major resource requests to the VP.
  • Resolves issues impacting multiple clinics or regions within the area.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or related field (or equivalent work experience)

  • 5 years of multi-location management experience in a healthcare, medical, or clinical setting

  • Proven leadership experience managing clinic-based teams, including clinical staff and mid-level managers

  • Strong operational knowledge of clinical workflows, scheduling, and patient experience best practices

  • Experience in performance management, including coaching, goal-setting, KPI's and accountability

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across all levels

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to interpret data and use insights to drive improvements

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and practice management/EHR systems

Preferred:

  • Experience in podiatry practice management

  • Familiarity with AdvancedMD or similar EHR/practice management software

  • Understanding of provider support services including credentialing, compliance, and onboarding

  • Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) a plus
