Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare exam rooms and assist with patient appointments
- Collect specimens and record accurate vital signs and medical histories
- Assist providers with office-based procedures
- Follow up with patients regarding test results and imaging
- Support front office tasks like scheduling and confirming appointments
- Use electronic medical records (eClinicalWorks EMR experience preferred)
- Help maintain a smooth, efficient, and friendly clinic environment
- Full assistance to a doctor with a patient
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
Certified/Registered Medical Assistant Options:
- One of the following certifications required: CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or RMA
- Certification/registration must be maintained
OR
- Three years of Medical Assistant experience
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in direct patient care within a healthcare or ambulatory clinic
- Familiarity with eClinicalWorks EMR
Skills & Requirements
- Current CPR certification (required)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Computer proficiency and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 15 lbs unassisted and assist patients (with team help, up to 200 lbs)
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
