Job Summary
Allergy Lab Solutions, LLC provides certified allergy staff to medical offices to offer allergy testing and treatment to their patients. Our staff works independently inside of an existing office to identify, test, and manage treatment programs for the clinic. We strive to give patients the best quality of life possible while increasing awareness of Allergies and Asthma and their vast impact on overall patient wellness. We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be cross trained in administering injections and Allergy Protocol. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for patients. The job responsibilities include:
- Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician.
- Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, accurate data entry, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes, scanning, filing, answering phones.
- Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, performing allergy tests, and administering medications as directed by physician.
- Discuss allergy test results, the long term benefits of immunotherapy, and the health impact allergies and asthma can have if left untreated with patients.
- Manage clinic's allergy program by administering allergy shots, and tracking testing and treatment numbers among other services.
Desired qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Medical experience required
- CPR / First Aid Certification
- Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a busy office environment
- Strong computer and Typing skills--including, but not limited to Microsoft Word and Excel as well as Dual Screen Monitors
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills in-person as well as over the phone
- Knowledge of aseptic technique and HIPAA compliance
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and documentation protocols preferred
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of electronic health record systems
- Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
