Minimum Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of otolaryngology clinical procedures and terminology.
- Experience with allergy testing and specimen processing in a clinical setting.
- Basic understanding of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols.
- Previous experience working alongside providers in an otolaryngology and allergy clinic.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems used in outpatient settings.
- Additional certification or training in allergy testing
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient-centered care.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and medical histories relevant to otolaryngology.
- Assist healthcare providers during allergy testing procedures and other diagnostic assessments.
- Handle, process, and label medical specimens accurately following established protocols.
- Sterilize and maintain medical instruments and equipment to ensure compliance with infection control standards.
- Coordinate with Providers and clinical staff to support patient care plans and follow-up procedures.
- Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
