Surgery Scheduler

Allergy & ENT Associates of Middle TN is seeking a full-time Surgery Scheduler to join our team in Hermitage, TN.

Competitive pay based on experience $18.50 – 20.00 per hour.

The ideal candidate would be someone with the following characteristic traits:

• Extraordinary customer service skills, especially with phone etiquette.
• Experience with scheduling surgeries. Prefer a minimum of 1 years’ experience.
• Previous experience in a medical office setting.
• Medical knowledge of health insurance and medical terminology.
• Experience with navigating insurance websites.
• Experience with obtaining prior authorizations for surgical procedures.
• Experience with ordering diagnostic imaging.
• Great with multitasking.
• Phenomenal positive attitude.
• Detail oriented and excellent with completing tasks in a timely manner.
• Good computer/typing skills. Experience with our EMR system eCW is a plus.
• Phenomenal team player characteristics traits as you will be coordinating surgeries with the nursing staff and our surgeons.
• Great work ethic in a fast-paced working environment.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Flexible with accommodating patient needs along with a very good ability to build a rapport with patients and providers.
• Spanish speaking is a plus.
• Due to the sensitivity of our allergy patients, we cannot employ anyone who smells of strong odors including smoke, perfume, or cologne.

• We have clinics in two locations (Hermitage and Lebanon), and this role will spend most of the time in Hermitage, but interested applicants need the availability to work at either location based on the workflow needs of the practice.
