What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistants Front Desk and Clinical position at Allergy & Asthma Treatment Center?
Allergy practice looking for medical assistants with option to work 1 to 4 days (or 8 to 35 hours) a week. The office is closed on Thursdays but some administrative work can be done on that day if more work hours needed. We are closed on weekends.
Front desk work: checking in and checking out patients, answering phone calls and making appointments, and helping in checking insurance eligibility. We will train, but you should be very comfortable with computer work.
Clinical: Ability and willingness to learn to perform clinical work such as rooming patients, obtaining vital signs, administering injections, processing prescriptions requests and other patient care issues.
There is an option to train on the job and acquire clinical skills which include: rooming in patients, obtaining vital signs and documenting in the EHR system. You could be trained to administer allergy injections and flu shots and performing allergy skin tests and spirometry.

College biosciences students with interest in the medical field (Pre-PA, Pre-Med, Nursing) are encouraged to apply. You will be given the opportunity to acquire clinical skills and meet all requirements.

Pay is commensurate with experience/ qualifications and progress and will be increased accordingly.
