We are seeking driven individuals to join our team as a medical assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in the medical setting and possess strong administrative skills. However, we are willing to train motivational individuals with limited or no prior experience. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical office specializing in allergy, asthma and immunology. We have 3 offices located in Medina, Wadsworth and Wooster. Ability and flexibility to travel to each location is required.
General Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Room patients for their appointments
- Obtain vital signs
- Conduct allergy testing and spirometry testing
- Administer allergy injections
- Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendars
- Handle phone calls, inquiries, and requests promptly
- Update and maintain electronic medical records
- Verify insurance information and assist with billing tasks
- Assist with administrative duties as needed to support the medical office
Preferred Skills:
- Proven experience as a medical assistant/receptionist or similar role
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
