What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant position at Allergy Asthma Clinic?
Overview
We are looking for a full-time or part-time board-certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner with an active state license. Allergy/Immunology experience is a plus, but not required .
At Allergy Asthma Clinic our physicians and NP/PAs provide personalized care for adult and pediatric patients. We take pride in our clinic's patient-centered approach, providing exceptional care for patients with a broad range of allergic and immunologic conditions.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care for patients with rhinitis, sinusitis, asthma, urticaria, angioedema, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, food allergies, etc.
- Obtain detailed histories, perform physical exams, order appropriate diagnostics tests, and develop an appropriate treatment plan
- Interpret skin test results, patch test results, and pulmonary function tests-Supervise the administration of allergy injections and biologics
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (Doximity AI scribe available)
Requirements
- Valid licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with current certification from an accredited program.
- Travel between our 4 Valley locations
- Proficiency in EMR/EHR systems; experience with medical documentation and coding (CPT, ICD-9/10).
- Strong knowledge of physiology, medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation techniques like sonography or spinal tap procedures.
- Excellent client communication skills with the ability to educate patients on treatment plans and health coaching strategies.
- Must adhere to HIPAA standards and maintain confidentiality while managing medical records securely.
