Allergy & Asthma Associates of the Mississippi Valley has served adults and children throughout the Quad Cities for more than 40 years. Our practice provides specialized care for allergies, asthma, eczema, and immunodeficiencies.
We are excited to be expanding our practice and welcoming an additional board-certified allergist. As our team grows, we are seeking a dependable and compassionate Medical Assistant who wants to build a long-term career in outpatient specialty care.

Who We’re Hiring
We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. Whether you are early in your career or bring years of experience, we welcome compassionate, organized, and motivated medical assistants who are ready to learn and grow in a specialty outpatient setting.
Previous allergy and immunology experience is not required. We provide specialty training.
What You’ll Love About This Role
- Four-day workweek, approximately 36–40 hours per week
- No nights, weekends, or major holidays
- Outpatient specialty care with no hospital or on-call hours

Key Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients, take vital signs, and perform intake
- Perform spirometry, allergy skin testing, and patch testing
- Administer allergy injections and monitor patients for reactions
- Recognize and respond to medical emergencies, including administering epinephrine when needed
- Educate patients about allergy and asthma treatments
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Assist with triaging patient phone calls using established protocols
- Coordinate specialty pharmacy orders, including biologic therapies
- Maintain supplies, emergency equipment, and clean clinical areas
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and administrative staff
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program
- Medical Assistant certification or registration required
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and clinical judgment skills
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Previous clinical experience is preferred but not required
- New graduates are welcome to apply
