What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Truck Mechanic position at Allens Environmental?
We have a fleet of 10 to 15 vacuum trucks on the road at all times as well as other equipment that we run on a daily bases that need to be serviced and maintained along with truck rebuild projects. Most of our trucks are Vactor 2100 jet vac with fan and positive displacement vacuum systems and vacuum tanker trucks with vane pumps. We currently have a mechanic that you will be working with.Responsibilities:- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various types of vehicles, including trucks, and industrial equipment.- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide appropriate solutions.- Conduct inspections and perform necessary repairs on Heavy trucks and equipment.- Perform electrical repairs as needed.- Assemble and disassemble parts of truck for repair or replacement.- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.Requirements:- Proficient in using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical issues.- Ability to operate a forklift and other industrial equipment safely.- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.- Must have a valid driver's license.-Pay will depend on experienceJob Type: Full-timeBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingHealth insurancePaid time offHoliday payWeekly vehicle gas allowance Tool allowance Bonuses Schedule:Monday through Friday with occasional weekendsPossible travel to one of our southern locations in Hampden or Windsor Maine to work on equipment.
