What are the responsibilities and job description for the Daytime Server position at Allenberry Resort?
We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and service-oriented Server to join our team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys creating welcoming guest experiences and thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Schedule: This position is primarily for daytime shifts, approximately 7:00 AM–3:00 PM, with availability needed Monday through Sunday. Weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service throughout their dining experience.
- Take food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
- Serve food and beverages according to established service and presentation standards.
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings and assist guests with questions or recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow team members to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Bus and reset tables as needed to maintain a clean and welcoming dining environment.
- Accurately process guest checks and payments.
- Respond to guest questions, requests, and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Assist with opening, closing, and general side-work responsibilities.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the dining and service areas.
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Previous serving, guest service, or fine dining experience is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain organized and provide excellent service in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and experience processing guest payments.
- Dependable, positive, and team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to work approximately 7:00 AM–3:00 PM shifts, including weekends and varying days throughout the week.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and use stairs multiple times throughout a shift.
