Seeking a Project Architect to be responsible for planning and design of project types including daycare, industrial and office, medical, auto, and municipal. Project types include new buildings or renovation of existing buildings/spaces. Responsibilities for this position include project coordination, preparation of planning documents, contract documents and specifications. This position provides technical leadership in architecture and assisting in solving complex design problems through Revit and other visualization tools such as Sketch-Up, Enscape, etc.
Salaries for all positions are based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, total years of experience in the industry, education, skills, and qualifications. Compensation may vary depending on the candidate's individual background and expertise. Allen Pepa Architects is a leading architectural firm in the Fox Valley. Responsibilities/Technical Competencies
- 5 years of experience providing architectural design and construction document preparation and comprehensive construction administration as part of a professional architecture/engineering firm.
- Generate design documentation, construction documents and renderings utilizing 3D software (Revit, Rhino 3D, others).
- Have working knowledge of applicable codes and standards (IBC, ADA, etc.).
- Develop designs and produce drawings and specifications to define the architectural scope of projects.
- Coordinate all design team disciplines, including outside consultants, to achieve a fully coordinated project.
- Apply architectural theories, concepts, principles, and processes to provide solutions to complex design projects.
- Assist in the review of the technical evaluation of construction bids received from contractors.
Qualifications
- Architecture degree from an accredited US Architectural Program
- Proficiency in Revit and rendering programs required
- Licensed as an architect in the State of Illinois or in process of licensure is a plus
- NCARB Certification is a plus
- LEED AP Accreditation is a plus
- Must possess exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills
Salary : $75,000 - $105,000
