Key Responsibilities
Legal Support & Learning:
- Assist with organizing and maintaining client files and legal documents
- Support deposition, mediation, and trial preparation under attorney supervision
- Help with calendaring court deadlines and legal appointments
- Assist in editing and finalizing documents for filing with State and Federal courts
- Learn litigation procedures and employment law basics through hands-on experience
Administrative & Office Operations:
- Answer phones and provide professional client communication
- Make copies, scan documents, and maintain organized filing systems
- Inventory and order office supplies
- Set up office operations each morning
- Manage general administrative tasks
Runner Duties:
- Deliver legal documents to courts, opposing counsel, and clients
- Transport documents between office locations
- Daily post office runs for mail and court filings
- Various driving errands as needed (mileage reimbursed)
Required Qualifications
Essential Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Current auto insurance and reliable vehicle
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent attention to detail and professional communication skills
- Ability to lift/move 50lb boxes and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
