What are the responsibilities and job description for the Vinyl Applicator position at Allen Industries Inc?
The position of Vinyl Applicator is responsible for the application of vinyl to various type of materials.
DUTIES
- Operate and maintain all vinyl department printing equipment :( vinyl plotter, etc)
- Weeds, masks and applies vinyl materials to sign substrates
- Operation of the following tools: X-acto knives, squeegees, rulers, jig saw, as well as other miscellaneous hand tools
- Read and interpret drawings
- Ensures safety and others through proper use and care of equipment/work area keeping it neat and clear of hazards
- Maintains tools and equipment in good working order and stores them properly
To become a part of our team we require applicants for our Vinyl Applicator position to have the following qualifications:
SKILLS
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle numerous issues simultaneously
- Experience with CAD, Flexi-sign or Corel
- Mechanical capabilities
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Ability to read blue prints and interpret sign/shop drawings and specifications
EDUCATION
- High School diploma, GED or the equivalent of training, education and experience
EXPERIENCE
- One year of experience as Vinyl Applicator, service or similar industry. Sign industry experience preferred
