What are the responsibilities and job description for the Crater position at Allen Industries Inc?
The position of Crater is responsible is to ensure that product is packaged/crated in accordance with Allen Industries Inc. best practices and procedures.
DUTIES
- Fabricate wooden crates or boxes using woodworking hand tools and powered tools
- Assembles materials using nailing or stapling machine, screws, bolts, glue and hand tools
- Wraps and pads products
- Builds crate around large or odd-shaped articles
- Wraps and tightens metal bands around crate using banding equipment
To become a part of our team we require applicants for our Crater position to have the following qualifications:
SKILLS
- Knowledge of packing/crating procedure
- Written and verbal communication proficiency
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Time management
- Apply personal safety measures including utilizing the correct PPE
EDUCATION
- High School diploma, GED or the equivalent of training, education and experience
EXPERIENCE
- One year of experience in Crating, service or similar industry. Sign industry experience preferred
