Certification Details BLS Iowa State Licensure Job Details Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position in Waterloo, Iowa at Allen Hospital. Contributes professional nursing knowledge and skills in the provision and management of care to patients through the application of the nursing process. This is a Med-Surg need, caring for post-operative surgical patients. Job Requirements 2 years of Med Surg experience including Post Op experience. Telemetry strip reading experience encouraged. Hospital experience strongly desired. Travel experience desired. Ability to float internally to other like units. Schedule Information Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 4 on day shift and 1 : 4 / 5 on night shift. OT billed after 40 hrs / week regardless of weekly guarantee. Unit Specific Information 28-bed unit caring for post-operative surgical patients. Nurses are trained to read telemetry strips and take care of cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Lasix, Insulin. Additional Details Travelers must be COVID vaccinated; Medical / Religious Exemptions provided upon request. Candidates with a taxable home address within 60 miles of the facility location will be billed at a rate 10% less.
