Summary
The primary responsibility of the AP Accounting Associate p
rovides financial, administrative and clerical support by ensuring payments are completed and expenses are controlled by receiving payments, processing, verifying and reconciling invoices according to established policies and procedures in an efficient, timely and accurate manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Supports the Vision, Mission and Values of Allen Harim.
- Handle all aspects of the Accounts Payable function to include:
- Decides the weekly vendor payments
- Imports or release ACH vendor payment batches in the banking software.
- Ensures invoice approval policy is being followed.
- Code and input invoices.
- Run and distribute checks as well as ACH and wire payments.
- Check, edit and post payments.
- Process manual and voided checks as required.
- Managing and process Accounts Payable emails
- Review vendor statements for missing invoices & research any discrepancies
- Reconciliation of GRIR account & AP balance sheet
- Daily and Weekly Cash Reports
- Training of other AP team
- Government Reports
- Assist auditors by pulling year-end and other information as requested
- Manage unclaimed property
- Research miscellaneous projects as requested by management.
- Capital Project tracking
- All other duties as assigned
Education and/or Experience
- Associates Degree or equivalent work experience in accounting.
- Must possess strong human relations skills, be a self-starter and able to work independently
- Work experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role.
- Knowledge of PC and basic computer applications
- SAP experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills
- MS Office ( Excel, and Word)- Advanced
- Knowledge of Accounting- Advanced
- Well organized & able to multitask

Work Environment
- This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machine. Must be available for local business travel to Allen Harim locations as needed.
