Assistant Supervisor WPL I Dayshift

Summary

Will support the Vision, Mission, and Values of the Organization. The qualified candidate must be able to direct and assign employees as needed to ensure all aspects of quality product. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports Allen Harim’s mission,vision,and values
• Be able to communicate with other associates at all levelsandhave a good attendance record.
• Reporting team member performance records to the Management team
• Ensuringthe departmentfollowsGMP, HACCP, SSOP, and USDA standards
• Mustassistin the training of all associates
• Ensureteam members properlywear PPE, and that they understand safety procedures. 
• Set dailyobjectivesand communicate them to their team. 
• Willbe responsible forpaperwork relating to the department
• Supervise cleanup work performed during breaks(lunch, and in between shifts)to meet USDA and state requirements
• Must be able tofunction asSupervisor when needed
• Work onSaturdays to be expected
• Work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• All other related duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma with at least four years of poultry experience
• Knowledge of Poultry Plant or Food production 

Knowledge/Skills

• PC skillsrequired(MS Office)
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skillspreferred.
• High degree of attention to detail
• Excellent Communications skills as frequent communication isrequiredwith management and staff. 
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner that is consistent with the essential job functions. 

Supervisory Responsibilities

• Must have the ability to enter all areas of the plant and offices.
• Must be able to climb and crawl in confined spaces.
• Must be able to communicate with alllevelsof employees as well as outside vendors and government agencies.

The job operates in a poultry plant environment. The environment can be wet, hot, cold, noisy, and odorous.
