What are the responsibilities and job description for the Optician position at Allen Eye Associates?
We are looking to add a full-time experienced optician to our amazing optical team located in Allen, Texas.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Educating patients in the latest lens technology and matching the correct products for their needs. Frame styling with confidence and selling contact lenses, dispensing and adjusting glasses, performing various repairs.
- Measure single vision, bifocal and progressive glasses prescriptions with a manual or automated lensometer.
- Ability to communicate with and properly troubleshoot patients' issues with their glasses.
- Knowledge of various vision plans such as VSP, EyeMed and Superior is preferred.
Good communication skills and being a team player is a must. This is a full time position with benefits including 401k, and health insurance. We have a strong, knowledgeable, fun team so we are looking for applicants that want the same. We are expanding our practice and are looking for new, qualified team members to fully staff our growing office.
Optical knowledge is a MUST!
