What You'll Do
As an All-Ages/Outreach Librarian, your work will go beyond the traditional desk:
- Build relationships with community organizations and connect with patrons of all ages outside the library through outreach efforts
- Plan and deliver engaging programs and services
- Support daily public service needs within the branch, creating a welcoming and helpful environment
- Champion equitable access to information and services for all members of the community
- Knowledge of library services, resources, and best practices
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- A passion for outreach and community engagement
- The ability to connect with and serve individuals from diverse backgrounds with empathy and respect
- Creativity, flexibility, and a genuine desire to make a difference
- Bachelor's Degree
- 2 years of library experience
- State of Indiana Public Librarian Certification (LC-5) - within 3 years of hire
