What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dean for Academic Affairs position at Allen Community College?
12 Month Contract Full-time Position
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Dean for Academic Affairs will provide leadership to assigned areas
within Academic Affairs in collaboration with the Vice President for
Academic Affairs and the other Dean for Academic Affairs. The Dean
accomplishes the development, implementation, and assessment of academic
policies, practices, standards, and expectations through all modalities-specific
responsibilities in curriculum and instruction, and personnel, as well as
responsibilities which are College-wide in scope.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree required. Demonstrated skill in management and supervision
of personnel and resources. Demonstrated ability to work in a participatory
environment. Minimum of three to five years’ experience with academic
programs and collaborating with external partnerships. A basic understanding
of legislative initiatives affecting post-secondary requirements, is preferred.
LOCATION: Iola, Kansas Campus office location.
SALARY: $98,000 – 118,000 based upon education and experience. An excellent
benefits package is available.
