What are the responsibilities and job description for the Agriculture Instructor position at Allen Community College?
9 Month Contract Full-time Position (renewable contract position)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Agriculture Instructor will teach 15 credit hours of classes each semester,
fostering a hands-on, student-centered learning environment. The successful
candidate will also serve as the sponsor for the Collegiate Farm Bureau, supporting
student leadership and professional growth. Key responsibilities include recruiting
prospective students, revitalizing the agriculture program, and building strong
community and industry connections to enhance student opportunities. A
commitment to academic excellence, mentorship, and program innovation is
essential. The onsite teaching assignment will include both on-ground and online
classes within the Agriculture department. The position is also responsible for
division participation, committee and task force service, and individual professional
development.
QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s degree in or with 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield;
and/or valid/Industry recognized credential in the discipline and/or 2 or more years
industry experience in the career/technical field.
LOCATION: Iola Campus office location. On-campus hours are required of the position.
SALARY: Salary range $41,00-62,000; based on education and experience. An excellent
benefits package is available.
STARTING DATE: August 7, 2025
