What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Assistant (Pre-Litigation) position at Allen Allen Allen & Allen?
The Allen Law Firm, a leader in protecting the injured for generations, is seeking an experienced Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant in our Richmond, VA office. This position will serve on our Floater Team of Legal Assistants and will work alongside multiple Attorneys, supporting existing case files as they are in various stages of progression within their lifecycle. The ideal candidate will provide excellent service and have superior organizational skills to ensure our clients are receiving the best outcome for their case.
As a Pre-Litigation Legal Assistant, you will:
- Assist in the preparation for meetings with witnesses, clients, officers, and experts; depositions; hearings; mediation; trial; and client closing.
- File pleadings in state and federal courts, court of appeals, Virginia Supreme Court.
- Manage and audit liens, including liens associated with ERISA, Medicare, Medicaid, and workers compensation.
To be considered for this role, you will have:
- High School Diploma/GED and 2 years Firm experience (Personal Injury preferred)
- Experience with case management system (Litify preferred)
