1st Shift Production Supervisor

Position: 1st Shift Production Supervisor

Job Summary

Reports to Production Manager and is responsible for the materials and production management functions relating to planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products to meet shift objectives. Provides direct supervision over an assigned shift. This role is ideal for a hands-on team lead or emerging supervisor looking to grow into a leadership position. 

Responsibilities 

• Oversees and ensures proper production planning and scheduling are carried out during the assigned shift.
• Monitors and addresses activities to prevent deviations from production schedules.
• Balance the level of labor cost and machine requirements during assigned shift.
• Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and personal growth.
• Oversee routine housekeeping as required.
• Performs any other tasks as may be assigned by the Plant Manager.
• Assist in related department activities and perform related duties, as required.

Qualifications 

• Comprehensive knowledge of product production
• Strong leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work with minimum supervision - self starter
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Graduation from High School; including or supplemented by vocational training.
• Minimum three (3) years employment in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands 

• Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity. 
• Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift. 
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 6:00am-3:30pm
• Flexibility is a must- hours subject to change based on production schedule
