1st Shift Maintenance Technician

Position: Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

The Maintenance for Alleguard will perform technical work, maintenance, modification, service and repair of electrical systems, equipment, fixtures, and related electro-mechanical systems.

Pay: $20 USD/hr 

Hours:

Monday - Friday

7am - 3pm

Responsibilities

• Repair, install, align, dismantle, and move equipment / production lines.
• Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts.
• Perform equipment change-over and production line set ups.
• Generate and complete work orders as assigned.
• Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations.
• Follows and ensures all H&S processes are followed daily.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
• Maintain high standards for housekeeping and cleanliness of the maintenance shop.
• Participate in the implementation of various improvement projects.
• Trouble shoot and repair problems on machines and equipment.
• Works closely with the Maintenance Manager to complete preventative and predictive maintenance.
• Keeps updated records of work performed.
• Optimize equipment safety and reliability including the support of preventative maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to work weekends if required.
• Previous experience in a similar role.
• 5-10 years of experience in Industrial Electrical Maintenance.
• Ability to work professionally under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Basic Mechanical Troubleshooting Skills is an asset.
• Good Analytical and attention to detail skills.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Proactive and self-motivated.
• Ability to plan jobs and see all potential problem areas.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams.
• Self-motivated, highly organized, and able to multi-task.
• Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
• Ability to run conduit, pull wires and wires in electrical components.

Physical Demands

• Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
• Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• Flexibility is a must – hours subject to change based on production schedule
