The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Commvault Backup and Windows Server Engineer to join our corporate IT team. This is a critical role responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and support of our server infrastructure and our enterprise-wide backup and recovery solutions. You will leverage your extensive knowledge of Windows Server environments (physical and virtual) and Commvault to ensure the stability, security, and resilience of our most critical data and systems. What You Will Do Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain a large-scale Windows Server environment, including both physical and virtualized (VMware) servers. Diagnose and resolve complex operating system, software, and hardware issues. Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, server performance monitoring, and file permissions. Design, configure, and manage our Commvault enterprise backup environment, including CommCell administration, storage libraries, and media agents. Develop and maintain optimal backup policies, schedules, and retention strategies to meet business, compliance, and regulatory requirements (RTO/RPO). Troubleshoot and resolve complex backup and recovery failures across a multi-platform, geographically dispersed environment. Provide analytics, usage reports, and capacity planning for the backup infrastructure. Implement and manage security updates and patches for all related servers and appliances in accordance with information security requirements. Collaborate with cybersecurity and operations teams to perform security reviews, support audits, and ensure a timely response to all data requests. What You Will Need 3-5 years of hands-on experience administering Windows servers in a large-scale physical and virtualized enterprise environment. Proven expertise in designing, configuring, and managing Commvault data protection solutions (Commvault Certification is a strong plus). Strong proficiency in troubleshooting server hardware, Windows OS, and complex backup and recovery problems. Solid experience with VMware, Active Directory, and Group Policy management. Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN networking principles, and application protocols. Experience with Dell server and storage hardware is a plus. A proactive mindset with the ability to perform security reviews, patch management, and support audit activities. Work Arrangement: This is a Hybrid role based in our Manchester, NH facility, requiring a minimum of two days a week in the office.
