Spring Arbor of Anderson is looking for a dedicated Resident Assistant to provide hands-on care and support to our Assisted Living residents. Under the guidance of our Resident Services Director, you'll help create a warm, safe, and positive environment for the people who call our community home.
What You'll Do
- Approach every interaction with residents and fellow associates in a friendly, service-oriented way
- Assist residents with daily living activities — bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, bed linens, positioning, transfers, mobility, medication reminders, and incontinence care
- Maintain accurate records, including resident service plans and documentation of care provided
- Stay familiar with each resident's service plan to ensure personalized, consistent care
- Communicate closely with the Resident Services team for seamless continuity of care
- Help promote a safe environment for residents, associates, and visitors
- Support the day-to-day programming and operations of the neighborhood
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of related health care experience
- Dementia training completion (required for communities with an Ensemble Program)
- Ability to pass a criminal background screening
- Willingness to comply with our drug-free workplace policy
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or as required by your state)
- CNA or NA license/certification, in good standing (state-dependent)
- Experience with computerized resident documentation systems
