What are the responsibilities and job description for the STAMPING PRESS OPERATOR position at Allegiant Manufacturing?
Summary: The Stamping Press Operator desired candidate has intermediate metal stamping knowledge and has experience in all aspects of the setup of dies into stamping presses.
Essential Functions
Required to stand, walk and reach with hand and arms to handle material
Must be safety conscience always and exercise great care regarding equipment and materials
Operate single stroke press and auxiliary equipment in a safe and correct manner
Perform and document required visual and physical quality inspections as indicated by
Activates machinery by pushing buttons or depress a foot pedal
Stack, label, pack and transport finished work pieces
Use measuring devices such as calipers and micrometers
Desired but not required qualifications
One-year related experience and training on metal stamping presses
Background or knowledge in some type of mechanical orientated trade
A strong mechanical aptitude is helpful
General knowledge of operating metal cutting machine tools, saws, drills, mills, grinders and hand tools
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Ability to lift 50lbs with or without accommodations.
Ability to stand on your feet for 10 hour shifts.
Stand on antifatigue mat and walk on concrete over the course of 10-hour shift
Available for overtime as required.
