Role: Senior Project Manager – Commercial Construction
Location: Flexible across Florida / Remote Initially
Salary: $140,000 - $165,000 bonus car allowance full benefits
Step into a senior leadership-track role with a growing commercial general contractor looking to expand its presence across Florida. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Senior Project Manager who wants more autonomy, ownership, and the chance to help build a regional operation from the ground up.
The company delivers fast-paced commercial construction projects, including retail fit-outs, medical and healthcare interiors, office fit-outs, and general commercial renovation work. They also provide owner’s representative and project management services on larger developments, including $100M projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
- Oversee multiple projects depending on size, complexity, and schedule
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, consultants, clients, and internal project teams
- Manage schedules, budgets, procurement, contracts, change orders, and project documentation
- Conduct site visits and provide oversight across multiple Florida markets
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to a high-quality standard
- Identify project risks early and communicate solutions clearly with clients and leadership
- Support business relationships and help grow the company’s Florida presence
- Work autonomously with minimal micromanagement
- Contribute to long-term regional growth, with potential to step into a future leadership role
Qualifications:
- 7 years of project management experience in commercial construction
- Experience managing commercial interiors, retail fit-outs, office fit-outs, healthcare interiors, or renovation projects preferred
- Strong understanding of schedules, budgets, subcontractor coordination, contracts, and client management
- Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects at once
- Comfortable working remotely initially, with travel to project sites across Florida as needed
- Highly autonomous, commercially minded, and comfortable taking ownership
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to build trust with clients, subcontractors, and internal leadership
- Experience in a smaller, entrepreneurial GC environment preferred
- Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction software experience preferred
