We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Superintendent to oversee field operations and ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Position Summary
The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for managing field crews, coordinating project activities, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity. This role serves as the primary leader on job sites and works closely with project managers, foremen, and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of electrical crews and subcontractors
- Plan, schedule, and manage manpower, materials, and equipment on projects
- Ensure all work complies with NEC, local codes, and company standards
- Enforce company safety policies and maintain OSHA compliance
- Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades
- Review project drawings, specifications, and schedules
- Identify and resolve field issues quickly to avoid delays
- Conduct jobsite meetings and safety briefings
- Track project progress and report updates to management
- Mentor and develop foremen and electricians
Qualifications
- 7 years of electrical construction experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of commercial or industrial electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Working knowledge of NEC and applicable electrical codes
- Proven leadership and crew management experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
- Master Electrician or Journeyman License (preferred but not required)
- Experience with large commercial or industrial projects
- OSHA 30 certification
- Experience with project scheduling and construction management software
