Position Summary
The Surface Maintenance Clerk will support the day-to-day operations of Preparation Plant and Surface equipment maintenance by managing records, coordinating work, and ensuring compliance with safety and operation standards.
Position Responsibilities:
- Input data into spreadsheets and into CMMS (AMMO). Maintain detailed logs and records of maintenance activities for audit and operation purposes.
- Build and maintain accurate records of maintenance supplies and parts inventory working closely with the sourcing/procurement group.
- Continue in the development and integration of data into the CMMS database (AMMO). Work closely with the software developers from CMMS program in uploading and building critical data into the program. Create, review, and close daily work orders in the maintenance database. Work with the Maintenance Manager and Maintenance planner adding tasks, analyzing comments, and preparing reports.
- Assist in organizing and preparing jobs/tasks to minimize downtime. Schedule maintenance-related meetings, trainings, and inspections as needed.
- Prepare and process documentation for time entry, compliance, production reports, and maintenance scheduling. Compile reports, charts, summaries of maintenance activities, downtime histories, and equipment performance.
- Assist various departments with data entry, tracking, and general clerical work. Communicate with vendors and other departments to coordinate logistics, maintenance services, etc.
- Serve as a liaison between operations, maintenance, administration teams, and HR. Respond to office inquiries on HR matters, benefits, and timesheets.
- Perform additional duties as required to support mining operations.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook.
· Previous experience and knowledge of CMMS programs and work order processes.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational & time management skills.
· Familiarity with inventory control, procurement, & vendor management.
· Proficiency and accuracy in data entry and database management.
Preferred Skills/Experience:
· Prior experience with Preventative Maintenance Implementation using Maintenance Management Software.
· Previous experience in mining operations, preferably related to preparation plants and surface operations.
· Knowledge and understanding of mine safety regulations, equipment operation, and maintenance procedures.
