The Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg, a skilled nursing and independent living community, is actively seeking candidates for Charge Nurse/LPN openings. This position will provide direct nursing care to the residents and supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nurse aides. Our Nurse Management Team works on the floor with our staff to provide the highest quality of resident care.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all prescribed med passes during shift according to orders.
- Provides nursing care to the residents and supervises the day to day operations of nurse assistants.
- Reports all accidents/incidents and changes in a residents condition observed on shift.
- This is a supervisory position that reports to the Director of Nursing.
- The hours and days of work vary as needed.
Qualifications:
- GPN or graduate of an LPN program.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a long-term care setting preferred.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and move a minimum of 50 lbs.
