GENERAL OVERVIEW
Renders professional respiratory care services in the treatment and care of patients within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.

Job Description
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Renders professional respiratory care services in the treatment and care of patients within the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provides clinical respiratory care in NICU, Delivery Room and transport setting. (40%)
- Performs ongoing respiratory assessments and reassessments and plan of care development. (30%)
- Demonstrates effective leadership skills. (15%)
- Participate in department projects, teamwork and continuing education. (15%)
Minimum
- Graduate of an approved respiratory therapy program.
- Pennsylvania state licensure as a Respiratory Therapist or Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required prior to the expiration of the Temporary Practice Permit (TPP).
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) National Board of Respiratory Care required within 12 months of hire or transfer.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association within 12 months of hire or transfer.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program Certification (NRP) – American Heart Association within 12 months of hire or transfer.
- CPR – American Heart Association.
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate.
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate.
- Registered with the National Board of Respiratory Care RRT.
- Two years’ experience in pulmonary/respiratory medicine in a hospital setting.
