GENERAL OVERVIEW
Performs all functions related to polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency testing to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders; assists with clinical and administrative oversight of polysomnographic technicians.

Job Description
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Performs all functions related to polysomnographic exams and multiple sleep latency testing to provide comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders; assists with clinical and administrative oversight of polysomnographic technicians.
Essential Responsibilities
- Performs all polysomnograms and MSLTs according to clinical practice guidelines, as well as departmental policy and procedures. (50%)
- Provides patient education. (15%)
- Organizes and prioritizes workload and scheduling of patient testing in an efficient and effective manner. (10%)
- Oversees the proper calibration, quality control and analysis of all polysomnographic equipment. (10%)
- Mentors polysomnographic techs and provides educational oversight. (10%)
- Assists with billing documentation and maintains department records according to departmental policy/procedure. (5%)
- Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Minimum
- 4 years with sleep study testing
- Graduate of polysomnography course or completion of an approved sleep lab training program.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance Certificate
- Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance Certificate
- Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
- Basic EEG course.
- RPSGT, CRT or RRT.
- Computer experience.
- Previous supervisory experience.
