Join our dynamic team as a Residential Construction Worker. We are looking for a skilled and dependable person with an interest and experience in residential construction projects. Opportunities for full time, part time, or seasonal summer work are available. In this energetic role, you'll actively participate in all phases of residential construction projects, from framing and carpentry to finishing touches. The ideal candidate will have working knowledge of installing windows, doors, siding, decking, and other residential building components. This role requires someone who can work independently and as part of a cohesive, team-oriented crew. Your hands-on expertise will help bring homeowners' visions to life while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site.
Key Responsibilities Can Include:
- Perform and assist with residential construction tasks including: Installing windows and exterior/interior doors; Constructing and installing decking and railings; Installing siding and related exterior finishes
- Assist with framing, insulation, and other structural work as needed.
- Interpret basic blueprints or work instructions and execute tasks accordingly.
- Load, unload, and set up and maintain tools and equipment at the job site.
- Ensure tools and materials are organized and ready for daily tasks.
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to perform tasks such as cutting, measuring, and assembling components
- Install roofing, siding, and other elements to ensure weatherproofing and aesthetic appeal
- Conduct construction inspection and quality checks throughout each phase of the project
- Install doors, windows, and other fixtures with precision
- Apply caulking, painting, plastering, and restoration skills to achieve high-quality finishes
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Remove debris, sweep, and dispose of waste properly in waste trailer daily.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
Qualifications:
Required
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
- Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks for 8 hours per day.
- Comfortable working on ladders, scaffolding, and in varied outdoor weather conditions year-round.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team or independently.
- Valid driver’s license required and reliable transportation to and from job sites.
Preferred
- Multiple years of experience in residential construction or a related field.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used on residential sites.
- Ability to read and follow basic construction drawings and measurements.
