It's a unique opportunity to grow personally and professionally while uplifting the future generation of Allegheny County.Requirements:You must be at least 19 years old.Previous experience working with children is preferred.Successful completion of a series of clearances.Terms of Service:Full-time commitment40 hours per week, 1200 hours totalJanuary 6, 2026 - August 19, 2026Half-time commitment22 hours per week 675 hours totalJanuary 6, 2026 - August 19, 2026Benefits:Stipend: Earn $1,170 every two weeks, $19,820 total before taxes (1200 hours - full time) or $655 every two weeks, $11,135 before taxes (675 hours - half-time).Education Award: Receive $5,176 for 1200 hours and $2,817 for 675 hours to be used for qualified higher education expenses or to pay back qualified student loans.Forbearance: Federally-backed student loans can be placed into forbearance during your term of service.Payment of Interest: The program covers all or part of the interest on student loans placed in forbearance, provided the term of service is successfully completed.Monthly Bus PassHealth Insurance: Full-time members receive health insurance at no cost.Child Care Subsidy: Full-time members who meet certain criteria can access child care subsidies.SNAP Benefits: The AmeriCorps stipend does not count as income for SNAP benefits, making most members eligible for the full allowable SNAP benefit. AmeriCorps membership fulfills the work/training requirement for SNAP eligibility, and benefits are based on household income (excluding the stipend) and family size.Professional Development: Engage in paid monthly professional development and networking opportunities throughout your term.As a KEYS Service Corps AmeriCorps member, you'll dedicate your energy to creating a brighter future for youth in Allegheny County.
