Summary
The START Clinical Director provides full-time clinical oversight and supervision to the clinical team and therapeutic support services, responsible for Clinical Education Team Meetings, provides consultation to community providers/psychologists, provides training to build capacity in the system, and back-up on-call support.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Provide clinical supervision to the Clinical Team Lead and Therapeutic Coach Team Lead.
· Provide group clinical supervision to the Clinical Coordinators.
· Work with the Medical Director to provide weekly clinical consultations to Coordinators/Team Leads on START recipients with complex presentations.
· Provide oversight and consultation on positive behavior and interaction supports.
· Review START-related documentation and provide clinical input.
· Provide training and consultation to staff, families and providers.
· Plan and facilitate the monthly Clinical Education Team.
· Assist START Coordinators with preparations for START Coordinator certification.
· Take an active clinical leadership role in team meetings.
· Participate in referral review discussions.
· Provide on-site consultation as needed for people receiving START therapeutic supports.
· Monitor and evaluate data entry for all team members in the START Information Reporting System.
· Analyze data to inform programmatic decision making.
· Participate in daily Triage with START team and system partners.
· Work collaboratively with the program director on developing community relationships and linkages.
· Support program director in establishing a cohesive and supportive team that fosters creativity and open communication.
Supervisory Responsibilities
The Clinical Director will provide direct supervision to Clinical Team Leader.
Additional Responsibilities
From time to time the employee will be required to perform additional tasks and duties as required by the employer.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Extensive experience in intellectual and developmental disabilities/autism (ID/A), specifically those with ID/A and behavioral health needs.
· Understanding of PERMA , strength spotting and various evidence-based assessments provided by the START team.
· Experience with expressive therapies (i.e., music therapy, art therapy, recreational therapy, occupational therapy, etc.).
· Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries with people and families receiving services and follow ethical and licensing requirements.
· Demonstrated excellence in customer service by resolving issues promptly and maintaining high levels of satisfaction.
· Proven ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and consensus-based environment.
· Creative problem-solving skills that promote maximum effectiveness of both natural and community resources.
· Experience developing and implementing positive behavior support plans preferred.
· Ability to facilitate, plan, and organize muti-system activities.
· Ability to manage conflict by addressing issues and negotiating a solution-based outcome.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills when presenting to senior management, stakeholders and system partners.
· Knowledge of various computer systems (i.e. MS Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe).
Education/Experience Requirements
· Ph.D. in psychology and actively licensed by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s State Board of Psychology. Candidate may be eligible for waiver from this requirement.
· 3-5 years of clinical supervision experience required.
· Must be a certified START Coordinator or able to complete the START Coordinator certification process within 6-12 months of hire.

Act 33 and 34 clearances.
