🌟 Position Summary

At Allegheny Community Home Care (ACHC), our Direct Support Professionals empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to live with independence, dignity, and purpose. As a DSP, you'll provide compassionate, person-centered support while helping individuals achieve their goals and actively participate in their communities.

💼 Key Responsibilities

🤝 Provide Daily Support

• Assist with personal care, meal preparation, medication administration (when certified), mobility, and daily living activities.
• Promote independence, choice, and self-advocacy.

🎯 Support Individual Goals

• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs).
• Encourage skill development and meaningful community participation.

❤️ Promote Health & Safety

• Monitor and report changes in health or behavior.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming home environment.

📝 Documentation & Communication

• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, families, and healthcare professionals.
• Follow ACHC policies, ODP regulations, and HIPAA guidelines

• ✅ Qualifications
  🎓 High School Diploma or GED
  🚗 Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
  🔍 Ability to pass required background checks
  ⛑️ Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certifications
  💜 Experience supporting individuals with IDD is preferred but not required.
