What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving Assistant position at Allegheny Coatings?
Responsibilities:
- Receiving UPS and FedEx courier shipments.
- Preparing UPS and FedEx courier shipments.
- Help S&R personnel to determine what product goes to Yellow Tag area and make sure it’s properly identified.
- Segregate product on ship-hold or quarantine and maintain an inventory.
- Maintain lot control and integrity on multiple small lot jobs.
- Maintain individual customer standards for initial quality and visual inspection.
- Adherence to production schedule, to ensure successful compliance with all customer ship dates and deadlines.
- Any other tasks as assigned.
- Adherence to company policies
Additional Responsibilites:
- Fill in for the rover during lunch periods and days off.
- Load and unload trucks if necessary.
- Help the rover separate jobs on skids.
Desired Abilities:
- Ability to operate forklift
- Knowledge of Allegheny Coatings S&R process and procedures.
- Knowledge of all Allegheny Coatings processes and capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Excellent attendance.
