  • Account Retention: Cultivate strong relationships with assigned accounts, serving as their primary business development contact.

2. Regional Outside Sales & Account Management

  • Execute Field Visits: Support Midwest customer sales activity through on-site visits, relationship building, and hands-on account management.
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Scout and secure new business with current and prospective customers for existing coating processes, value-added services, and emerging capabilities.
  • Maintain Sales Records: Track and log records of customer contacts, site visits, active opportunities, and follow-up activities.
  • Facilitate Plant Tours: Coordinate and participate in customer site visits to Allegheny Coatings facilities.

3. New Business Development

  • Drive Market Growth: Proactively pursue regional market opportunities aligned with corporate sales objectives and capacity.
  • Expand Existing Portfolios: Identify customer problems and present strategic service solutions to customer parts.
  • Signal Market Trends: Recognize customer demands requiring processing capabilities outside traditional lines of business and communicate findings to leadership.
  • Prioritize ROI: Evaluate sales opportunities based on probability of success, revenue potential, and long-term return on investment.
  • Optimize Workflows: Continuous evaluation of quoting processes to increase operational efficiency and ease of transaction for customers.

4. Customer Service & Internal Coordination

  • Act as Customer Liaison: Bridge communication gaps between customers and Allegheny Coatings staff to ensure rapid resolution of customer issues.
  • Resolve Account Friction: Assist in navigating account management functions: pricing discrepancies, production scheduling shifts, quality concerns, product start-ups, and formal complaints.
  • Manage Sample Logistics: Coordinate customer prototype and sample requests with production teams.
  • Maintain High Responsiveness: Promptly manage incoming customer calls and emails, routing technical issues to appropriate departments when required.

Desired Abilities & Qualifications
