Part-time Relief Direct Support Professional

Position: Part-Time Relief / As-Needed

Alleghany County Group Homes, Inc. is seeking dependable, compassionate individuals to join our team as Part-Time Relief Direct Support Professionals (DSPs).

This position provides support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in both our Day Program and residential group homes. Relief staff help fill in for regular employees during scheduled time off, vacations, illnesses, and other staffing needs.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist individuals with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Support individuals in developing independence and daily living skills.
• Assist with recreational activities, community outings, and other meaningful activities.
• Provide supervision and support to ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.
• Assist with meal preparation, housekeeping, and other routine responsibilities in residential settings.
• Complete required documentation and follow individual support plans.
• Work cooperatively with other staff to provide quality care and support.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Must be dependable, patient, compassionate, and willing to learn.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet applicable driving requirements.
• Must successfully complete required background checks and training.

Schedule:

• Part-time, relief/as-needed position.
• Flexible scheduling based on staffing needs and employee availability.
• Opportunities for daytime, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• May work in both Day Program and residential group home settings.
• Hours may vary and are not guaranteed.
