What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Finance position at Allegany County Government - Maryland?
Assist the Director of Finance with the operations of the Finance Department and the supervision of the office staff. Maintain the County's general ledger system, including the software, to insure the proper recording of accounting transactions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Work with the County's external auditors as they audit the financial records. Provide financial analysis and assistance to the Director of Finance and Deputy Director of Finance, outside agencies, other County personnel, and elected officials. This is an in-office position. Potential to promote.
