Job Overview
Alléchant is seeking a reliable dishwasher for dinner service. Exact shifts are negotiable, but preference is given to those who can work Thursday-Saturday nights, with a possible shorter shift on Wednesdays. We are a busy full-service restaurant with a focus on merging fine-dining quality and neighborhood charm.
Duties
- Rinse, load, and re-stock dishes
- Collaborate with kitchen to ensure smooth operations during service
- Use slower moments to accomplish routine cleaning tasks in dish room and across the restaurant
- Clean dish room, take out trash recycling, and leave a spotless work area at end of day
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a hygienic working environment
Experience/pre-requisites
- Prior food service experience is strongly preferred, though not strictly mandatory
- Attention to detail
- Sense of urgency
- Strong time-management skills
- Must be physically comfortable bending down repeatedly to load and unload waist-high dishwasher.
- Must be mindful of handling dishes gently, in order to minimize loud sounds carrying from our semi-open back of house into dining areas.
