Position Summary

ESS is growing, and we are seeking a dependable Skilled Laborer to join our Manhole Rehabilitation team. The Skilled Laborer will assist with the inspection, preparation, repair, and rehabilitation of manholes and related underground infrastructure. This position requires physical work, attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong commitment to following safety procedures..

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect manholes to evaluate their condition and identify necessary repairs.
• Clean and prepare manholes for rehabilitation.
• Apply cementitious, epoxy, polyurethane, and other rehabilitation materials.
• Perform coating, sealing, reinforcing, and related repair work using appropriate materials and techniques.
• Ensure completed work meets project specifications and company quality standards.
• Follow all company safety policies, regulatory requirements, and confined-space procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of completed work.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other crew members.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Two years of underground utility experience preferred.
• Previous experience in manhole rehabilitation, underground utility construction, or a related construction field preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and carrying heavy materials.
• Ability and willingness to work in confined spaces.
• Ability to commute to Lakeland, Florida 33810.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Dependable work ethic and attention to quality.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following all safety regulations.

Schedule and Travel

• Monday through Friday
• Approximately 40–45 hours per week
• Travel to jobsites throughout Florida and Georgia
