Position Overview
The Facilities Associate is a hands-on, detail-oriented professional with strong communication skills and a proactive mindset. This role supports the VP of Facilities in ensuring the efficient, safe, and seamless operation of company facilities. The ideal candidate will possess working knowledge across multiple disciplines, including construction, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general building systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all equipment is operational, properly maintained, and available for use
- Maintain facility conditions to ensure a safe, clean, and functional environment
- Receive, track, and resolve work order requests in a timely manner
- Serve as liaison between staff and external contractors for specialized repairs or services
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for facilities and equipment
- Enforce and uphold facility safety standards and protocols
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and response efforts
- Maintain inventory of supplies and coordinate reordering as needed
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Full-Time, benefits eligible)
- Candidates seeking part-time employment may be considered, with the potential opportunity to transition to full-time status
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in construction, facilities, or building maintenance
- Strong computer proficiency and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and organizational ability
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive mindset with a commitment to delivering a positive experience
- Multilingual skills are a plus (may be preferred or required)
- Hands-on work in a facilities and maintenance environment
- Ability to lift and carry equipment and materials (up to 50 lbs recommended to specify if applicable)
- Ability to climb ladders and work at varying heights
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching
- If certifications are required for the role, the company may cover the cost of training and certification
- Employees receiving company-sponsored training will be required to commit to 18 months of employment following certification
- If the employment commitment is not fulfilled, reimbursement of training costs may be required
- $20.00 – $24.00 per hour
- Eligibility to participate in Comprehensive Benefits Package: Medical, Dental and Vision, Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays, in accordance with Company policy.
