We are looking for a reliable, animal-loving Part-Time Kennel Worker to help us provide a clean, safe, and loving environment for our patients and boarding guests.
Responsibilities As an integral part of our hospital team, your daily duties will include:
- Direct Animal Care: Feeding, watering, walking, and exercising dogs and cats.
- Medication Administration: Safely and accurately administering oral or topical medications to boarding pets and patients as directed.
- Sanitation: Cleaning and disinfecting kennels, cages, and common hospital areas to maintain a healthy environment.
- Observation: Monitoring pets for changes in behavior or health and reporting concerns to the medical team.
- Hospital Support: Managing laundry, restocking supplies, and assisting technicians or doctors with patient restraint when needed.
Schedule & Availability Because our patients require care every day of the year, we are looking for a candidate with the following availability:
- Required: Must be available for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Flexible: Periodic daytime hours are available and may be required based on hospital needs.
Requirements
- Attention to Detail: Essential for following strict medication schedules and dosage instructions.
- Passion for Animals: A genuine love for pets and their well-being.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability: Consistent attendance is essential; must have reliable transportation.
