Job Summary
The Programs Manager is responsible for leading and delivering all program-related operations at Allaso Ranch, ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, fun, and excellent experience. This position collaborates closely with Conference Center leadership during pre-event planning to design tailored program schedules, then organizes the staffing and execution of those programs. Success in this role requires strong leadership, exceptional teamwork, and a proactive, guest-focused mindset.
Duties & Responsibilities
Lead the Programs Team in executing excellent, high-quality programming for all events.
Meet with Conference Center and Guest Group leadership prior to each event to understand vision and needs.
Anticipate group needs and plan program experiences accordingly.
Design, staff, and direct all program activities to deliver a seamless guest experience.
Build and maintain positive relationships with all client groups.
Create safe, welcoming, and personalized experiences for all guests.
Coordinate reservations and scheduling for all program activities.
Champion a strong culture of safety, supported by Activity Leads and Certified Operators.
Hire, train, schedule, and supervise all program staff and volunteers.
Oversee volunteers and contract labor essential to program operations.
Maintain all licensing, certifications, and minimum quality standards for program areas.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of program staff.
Train and certify staff in all relevant activity areas.
Monitor staff performance and guest behavior to ensure safety and program excellence.
Identify operational hazards and respond appropriately.
Maintain the physical ability to respond to situations requiring first aid.
Serve as Health Center liaison between medical personnel, guests, and parents.
Support employee-related processes, including submitting pay forms and coordinating with HR on staff needs, pay, and benefits.
Administer and maintain all summer staff personnel paperwork.
Coordinate time-off requests for summer employees.
Stay current on state and federal health and safety standards.
Maintain up-to-date SOPs for all program and activity areas.
Ensure full compliance with Department of Health and Summer Camp Safety Standards, supporting an excellent outcome during annual camp inspections.
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership experience; must be able to build and motivate strong teams.
High attention to detail, even during routine tasks.
Ability to work effectively with staff, volunteers, and guest groups.
Strong multitasking skills and the ability to manage tasks at varying stages of completion.
Confident and effective public speaking skills for groups of various sizes.
